Winter Feast FAQ

About

The feast is an outdoor event and Tasmanian weather is infamously unpredictable. Dress appropriately for rain, hail, shine and effing freezing temperatures. Shelter is not guaranteed and entry is always subject to capacity.

Dates

  • Week One
    Thursday 8–Sunday 11 June
  • Week Two
    Thursday 15–Sunday 18 June

Tickets

Grab your nightly entry ticket at the door from 4pm. The feast is free after 9pm nightly, all day on Sunday 18 June and for under 16s accompanied by a parent or guardian, no ticket required.

Under 16s

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian—group numbers may be limited. Unaccompanied minors will be required to show ID.

Season Pass

A Season Pass grants you a four night ticket into the feast for your week of choice. Jump the queue prior to 9pm and come and go as you please—just retrieve a wristband before exiting. No resales on Season Passes.

Queues

We do our best to prevent queueing issues but sometimes it happens during peak times when the feast is at full capacity. When you get here, please allow extra time to buy tickets and enter the site. The best way to avoid long wait times is by purchasing a Season Pass.

Pass Outs

No pass outs for door sales—if you exit the venue, you will need to queue and purchase another ticket to re-enter.

Help Offset Carbon Emissions

If you’re drinking at the Winter Feast, you’ll need to pay a $6 deposit for a reusable cup. This includes wine, beer and cider (you can swap out your cup for another kind when needed). You’ll get $5 back when you return your cup to the station near the exit. Or, we can donate your deposit to our partners Southern Ocean Carbon Company who will use the funds to plant endangered giant kelp in southern Tasmania which will capture atmospheric carbon.
